I am proud to announce that we are finally able to release some of our frameworks as open source. It has been a while and we talked very often about this topic. Today at the FlashForum Conference in Cologne I had the honor to show our open source hub to the public for the first time.
We have currently the UIEvent framework including full source code online. I can think of a lot of other frameworks we could release in the near future. Including for instance our DOM, Pogo, Tween or Graph framework. I really hope that we get the go for all those other libraries in the next few days as well.
Good Job! Looking forward the Graph framework :)
Thank you so much ! Hobnox is so impressive, it’s a chance to be able to see all this “behind the scene” work.
Any chance to see the audio classes open sourced ?
Joa,
Do you think it will someday be possible to write effects or synths that plug into the Hobnox AudioTool?
Brilliant news – can’t wait to have a look at this. Thanks guys.
@maru: The application itself will stay closed. This includes also any part of the audio processing.
@Willem: Yes. This will require a public SDK and we thought about that. But I can not tell you if this will really happen or when. We have to focus on 1.0 right now.
well, for now its more or less useless; iam really looking forward to see the bones and flesh!
cheers joa!
this is excellent and i’m looking forward to see the
tween-classes you showed at ffk09 (really inspiring
session)!
big up!
Can you explain the big idea behind this framework, that is, why you created it?
I looked at some of the source codes quickly; appreciated sharing it. There are things I didn’t think of using before; will apply some ideas to my projects such as the interface IDisposable for instance.
this is one of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen done in flash. Congratulations. Do you plan on offering a “save setup” option anytime soon? That’s the only thing that’s killing me.
Yes definitly. 1.0 will not launch without this feature.
Where can I find more info on this topic?
