Audiotool 1.0

We have finally released the first version of the Audiotool. I am very thankful for all the kind tweets and happy that our work is now available to the public.

However the current version is named Firestarter for a reason. What you see online is just the tip of the iceberg. I can not wait to start implementing all the cool features that will separate us from traditional software ;)

My musical skills suck but i allready spend two happy evenings trying to figure out what those demonic machines do: turning knobs and messing with patternbank/presets/modes and producing some horrible noises.

So besides being a killer music app (ill take your word for that) it is also really cool Black-Box logical puzzle machine :)

Have you kept track on how many man-hours you’ve put in the project? I’m really curious.

I spent a few hours and managed to create some dynamically generated audio. This is on the opposite end of the spectrum, a seemingly complete DAW in frickin’ Flash! Must’ve taken a lot of hard work. Very impressive!

The whole thing is just utter beauty. It’s something most people dream of doing on the web and it’s an even wetter dream to be able to build it (in my case). I’m dabbling with the equalizers, samplers, samples and all the other new tools and find it a joy to use. Sincerely congratulations on a magnificent product. Wow!
